Instead of 8 characters to choose from (Ryu, Ken, E Honda, Chun-Li, Blanka, Zangief, Guile, and Dhalsim), you now have 16! The four bosses are now selectable (Balrog, Vega, Sagat, and M Bison), plus four brand new characters add to the fun (T Hawk, Cammy, Fei Long, and Dee Jay)! Then there's the secret boss, Akuma, who kills Bison and faces you if you beat the game under the right conditions, and you can even play as him if you know the code!Īll the characters have new moves and animations added to their repertoires. The game is MUCH deeper and more complex than the other version, though.
Once you beat Bison (or Akuma - more on that later), the game is won! If you've played the other SFII game on this site, then you know the basic drill: Pick a character, fight 8 opponents, then fight the final four bosses. The end result is not only the most well-known Street Fighter upgrade, but also one of the most polished and balanced fighting games out there. So they tinkered and toyed with it until it was made the way it was meant to be experienced. The original SFII was a runaway success, but Capcom just wasn't satisfied with it. That's basically the story of Super Street Fighter II Turbo. Everyone would praise you ten times more, even though some would criticize you for going too far, and you would be happy because you made your "perfect" tree. So you tinkered and toyed with it (against the forces of nature, needless to say) until it started to grow not only apples, but oranges, grapes, bananas, AND cherries. It grew nice, juicy apples all the time, but you just weren't satisfied with it. sfc (GoodSNES v0.999.5) Super Street Fighter II (Europe).sfc (No-Intro ) Super Street Fighter II - The New Challengers (Europe).sfc (No-Intro 2011-xx-xx) Super Street Fighter II - The New Challengers (PAL)(Eng)(1.0).Let's say you grew an apple tree. 1994 Sears Canadian Wishbook, page 428, via ROM InformationĬountry USA Internal CRC 610A CRC32 F16D5CE9 MD5 02C9C7E7914F9808487704E122554D4C SHA-1 8E67787988024503C4ADEADD5FE50A340AA860D7 SHA-256 D17CB5C73174060FCBD9CBA6C705643F19C3B8BE24D0F7EE43AEE674FF1EA38E ROM Speed 120ns (FastROM) ROM Size 32 Mb ROM Bank HiROM ROM Type Normal SRAM Size 0 Kb Internal Title Super Street Fighter2 Common Filenames Super Street Fighter 2 - The New Challengers (U).sfc (GoodSNES v0.999.5) Super Street Fighter II (USA).sfc (No-Intro ) Super Street Fighter II - The New Challengers (USA).sfc (No-Intro 2011-xx-xx) Super Street Fighter II - The New Challengers (NTSC)(Eng)(1.0).sfc (Zapatabase )Ĭountry Japan Internal CRC 0321 CRC32 26CA246B MD5 3A3EE93DB76E2C5CA85DF45564F9A9B0 SHA-1 F68769887C299609A7CB7F43F3273B3E3146F56F SHA-256 7033F0BAD0F2B5BCBB57D9102FDFFF36DCFF378981F5E5C0767B0F7417CE12DB ROM Speed 120ns (FastROM) ROM Size 32 Mb ROM Bank HiROM ROM Type Normal SRAM Size 0 Kb Internal Title Super Street Fighter2 Common Filenames Super Street Fighter 2 - The New Challengers (J).sfc (GoodSNES v0.999.5) Super Street Fighter II - The New Challengers (Japan).sfc (No-Intro ) Super Street Fighter II - The New Challengers (NTSC)(Jap)(1.0).sfc (Zapatabase )Ĭountry Europe Internal CRC 59AC CRC32 6D86BFB0 MD5 68F9192F7D9553327A976662AF9C331D SHA-1 A6FFEF36948854BECE1266B78224DAF3E64CA47E SHA-256 A52B98DA8F65BF2210B7D2E931548C672838FA7E44D852F2E3C6F3CD2BA950D6 ROM Speed 120ns (FastROM) ROM Size 32 Mb ROM Bank HiROM ROM Type Normal SRAM Size 0 Kb Internal Title Super Street Fighter2 Common Filenames Super Street Fighter 2 - The New Challengers (E).When used with Nintendo Power Memory carts, this game takes up 5 blocks for the game and 0 for the save file.
